GibPascal is a 'Pascal like' programming language. GibPascal has many attributes that are ISO 7185 Pascal compliant and many attributes that are not ISO Pascal compliant. It is fairly easy to write code that will work in both ISO 7185 Pascal and GibPascal. That stated, many functions and syntax in GibPascal do not exist in ISO Pascal. There is also syntax in ISO 7185 Pascal that does not exist in GibPascal.          What makes GibPascal different from other Pascals? First, GibPascal is interpreted and not compiled. Despite not being a compiler, execution of scripts are very fast. Second, GibPascal differs in math and comparison operations, adding features and rules sets that do not exist in other Pascals or programming languages. Lastly, Instead of large amounts of sub procedures and sub functions within a huge file, GibPascal's goal is to become modular and easier to manage than traditional Pascal. So for easier manageability, GibPascal is procedure-less. includes and labels are the methods used to isolate code and logic speratation. Because of Pascal's easy block flow for code, GibPascal does continue to implement 'begin' and 'end' sub nesting such as would ISO Pascal. Why GibPascal? Simply to make a better and modern Pascal. Why Pascal? Pascal is a very clean language that is very readable and easily maintainable. Much more so than Java, C, C++, Basic and other such languages. Pascal saves time with programming and troubleshooting code becuase of ease and structure of the language. What license does GibPascal use? GibPascal 1.1 and above source is released under the GPLv3 license. GibPascal 1.0 source is released under the GPL license. GibPascal focus: GibPascal started development in 2003 to give programmers a Pascal interpreter that: Contains many ISO 7185 Pascal standards Provide Functions for many purposes, including those outside of Pascal's orginal scope.
