Q Does GEDXchange run on Linux?  What operating system does GEDXchange run on?

A Yes, GEDXchange is developed and tested with Linux in mind.  It is also heavily
 tested with OSX 10.4.  GEDXchange has even been ported to MS Windows by several means. 
 I'm sure it could be compiled on other operating systems.


Q Does GEDXchange Require Gnome or KDE libraries?

A No. 


Q How do I compile the source?

A With Linux and OSX, run './compile'
 With windows run 'compile.bat' 


Q How do I start GEDXchange?

A With GEDCOM Tools, run gedstart.  If at the command line, ./gedstart
