Hooking up your TI-99 to a modern TV or monitor
There are several ways to hook up your TI-99/4 or TI-99/4A to a HDMI or RCA S-Video TV or monitor.
The most common is to hook up a kenalbe 5 pin to RCA cable.
What you need is a kenable 5 Pin Male Din Plug to 4 x RCA Phono Male Plugs Audio Cable 2m (~6 feet).
If your TV or Monitor accepts RCA S-Video and RCA audio input this is the only item you need to purchase.
As of writing this in 2024, I have seen these ranging from $9 to $19 online.
The TI-99 computer uses the Black RCA plug as Audio and the Yellow plug as Video.
Plug Yellow into Yellow and Black into either Red or White audio jacks.
If your TV or monitor only takes HTMI, then you will also need to purchase an RCA to HDMI adapter.
What you need is a AV to HDMI Converter, or RCA to HDMI, 720/1080P Mini RCA Composite CVBS Video
Hookup Yellow to Yellow and Black to either Red or White and plugin the adapter to HDMI port of choice.
You will also need a USB power source for the adapter.
I have purchased a few of these over the last 7 years and they have maintained the price of about $20.
