This document defines GDEW's Goals and Standards.
GDEW's goal is to provide Linux with a better, more intuitive interface than what Apple and Microsoft provide.

What Apple and Microsoft have right:

Buttons should be color coded. 
The close button should be red
The close should be marked by an 'X'
Icons should be uniform.

What Apple and Microsoft have wrong:

The close button should not be placed by other buttons.
The close button should be very distinctive and easy to find.



Desktop
Icons should be vertical aligned and right justified.
Most frequently used icons should be on far right.
